What is in a bridal garter set
Most "bridal garter sets" sold online are two elastic leg bands, one to keep and one to toss. They cost a few dollars and are made of polyester satin and stretch lace. Ours is a different thing: a real lace garter belt that holds stockings, plus one lace leg garter for the tradition. How to wear a garter belt under a wedding dress
Put the belt on first, then the brief over the straps. That one detail matters on a wedding day, because you can use the bathroom without unclipping anything. Roll each stocking on, fasten the front clip, then the back one, and check that the seam or reinforced heel sits straight. The leg garter goes on last, a few inches above the stocking top, on whichever leg feels natural. Tell your partner which leg it is before the reception. Wear the whole set to your final dress fitting so the gown is adjusted over it.
